Everything is stored in the database (unless you do static export) - that is
why it is called VFS (virtual file system) ;D

when creating a directory or adding an HTML file etc. via the GUI, where do 
they get stored cause I can't find them in the file system!

Also, in order to create a template, different documentation fragments point

to the creation of the "/system/modules" directory. Where exactly is this 
directory located in the file system?
