I even have three version in parellal (5, 6alpha3 and 6beta1):

- Rename the webapps/opencms.war file to say webapps/opencms6b1.war _before_
starting Tomcat.
- Start Tomcat (the war file is unpacked), and stop it again afterwards.
- Edit the webapps/opencms6b1/WEB-INF/config/opencms.properties file as
follows: app.name=opencms6b1
- Restart tomcat and start the setup wizard (using /opencms/opencms6b1/...
as path)
- Make sure that the database table to create is called opencms6b1 (not
opencms).

Like this, you have a separate DB table in MySql and can run as many
versions as you want in parallel.

Has anyone experiences in driving both versions on the same host?
Could there be any problems, e.g. with Singletons or the like?
