It is possible to put English and German content into one xmlcontent file.
So far so good.
But how do I access the one or the other programatically for example depending 
on the top level domain or a link on the website (English/German) ?

I  can't find anything in the documentation or the code ...
What content is used depends currently only on the tags
localesconfigured and localesdefault and the order of the locale sub tags in 
opencms-system.xml ...
