Well, I haven't checked how things looks in 6 as far as the case used 
in the scripts, but it is likely to be as for 5. So to the extend this 
is a problem with 5 it is probably the same in 6.
I assume that this is so for 'historical' reasons. I work from the 
assumption that table names are case-insensitive and certainly 
consistent across the platforms a specific database system supports - 
this could be the explanation but I guess Alkacon are the ones that 
know the answer.

Anyway since the above assumption does not hold for MySQL and it 
doesn't seem to be an obvious thing to fix this problem by means of 
lower_case_table_names parameter, I agree that using all lower case 
table names both in scripts and source code should help avoiding some 
cross-platform and perhaps even cross-database issues (though I cannot 
come to think of other databases which have case sensitive table 
names).

As you state it is not difficult (though it may be tedious) to change 
the source code to use lower case table names. Check with Alkacon 
first, but I doubt that they are working on that particular issue at 
this point in time so they probably won't mind a helping hand.
