[opencms-dev] How to move content properly

Hi,

is there a save way to move (rename) content without breaking the referring
links?

A links to B -> B is moved -> broken Link in A

I have little experience as an editor, but I think there must be a way to
safely change directory structures or filenames without destroying the
referring links.
Just imagine a huge site with tons of links and a file or dir that has to be
renamed due to some divine intervention... is this an editor's nightmare
coming true or just an editor's RTFM failure?! Is there a way to change the
FS structure without loosing links to the files/dirs?!
