Hi,
had the same problem in Tomcat 5.0. I deleted the "work" directory (directory where all compiled jsp reside) of tomcat and restarted tomcat. Don't know if JBOSS has a "work" directory too.

The absolute uri: http://java.sun.com/jstl/fmt cannot be resolved in either web.xml or the jar files deployed with this application
