[opencms-dev] OpenCms 5 and OpenCms 6 on the same tomcat server ?

Try using the patched opencms.jar you can find here:

http://www.codedroids.com/codedroids/opencms/en/opencms/community.html

It's been compiled with the patches made to the 5.0.1 branch so it 
works with newer versions of Xerces.
