Hi Yves,

ok. change the <site>/sites/default/</site> node to
<site>/sites/mysite/</site> in opencms-workplace.xml in RC1 installation
and restart tomcat. After Loging into the workplace you should land in
/sites/mysite --> change to the Administartion view and import the
previously exported data, that should be.

let me know if it works.

Perhaps you have to re-export your data from beta3 Installation by setting
the same as described above and import a fresh export :-)

Best Regards,
Arash

Hi Arash,

I have not modified the opencms-workplace.xml config file:
for both, source and target, webapps opencms instances,
the <site> setting is the default one:
    <workplace-startupsettings>...
     <site>/sites/default/</site>...
    </workplace-startupsettings>
Best Regards,
Yves

      Hi Yves,

do you have set the setting in opemcms-workplace.xml to /site/mysite/
      too? :-)

Subject: [opencms-dev] importing site from opencms 6.0 b3 to
            opencms 6.0 RC1

I have experimented opencms 6.0 b3 to start building a site
            under /sites/mysite/ in vfs
In order to import my work in opencms 6.0 RC1,
I have well noticed the following instructions found in the
            mailing list archives:

            > > However we've entered some data into beta1 by now, which
            > > would like to preserve. So what is the best way to upgrade
            well keeping the content?
            >
            > The best safest and easiest way to upgrade is to export the
            site contents
            > (e.g. everyting in /sites/default/) plus all modules that
            have been created.
            > Then set up a frash installation with beta 2 and import
            everything again.
            >
            > If done correctly, this certainly works. Please make sure
            that you import
            > from the same site setting you exported from. So if you
            exported from
            > "/sites/default/" make sure you are _not_ in the root sie "/"
            when importing.
Being in my opencms 6.0 b3 webapp instance (under
            webapps/opencms6),
I have exported (database export) the content of my site (being
            in the site /sites/mysite/).
Then in my opencms 6.0 RC webapp instance (under
            webapps/opencms60),
I have created a site mysite
(using following line in opencms-system.xml :<site
            server="my.site" uri="/sites/mysite/"/>)
and imported (database import) the zip file created at previous
step (being in the site /sites/mysite/).

The resources are correctly placed under /sites/mysite/
but when I try to access index.html file for instance (being in
site /sites/mysite/), by left-clicking on it in the workplace.
            I get the following :

Error reading resource from path "/sites/default/index.html"

            Requested resource: /index.html
OpenCms version: 6.0 RC 1 Corrin
            OpenCms context: /opencms60/opencms

It seems the system does not bind well my resource to
            /sites/mysite/index.html

Do I have to perform some extra configuration in order to
            correctly handle
            - re-importing of a site which is not /sites/default/ (but
            /sites/mysite/)
            - re-importing between two contexts which do not have the
            default context name "opencms"
(but source is "opencms6" and target is "opencms60")

Thanks in advance for every hints you could provide to me in
order to preserve work already done

            Yves Ackaert
