Hi Team,

I'd like to post some instalation notes that i think may be interesting to OpenCms instalation and if your are novel:

1.- If Fedora FC4 is instaled
Disable ipv6 as reported in http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/topic-47483.html. If this is not done, OpenCms will not
have communication to MySQL and could not create de DB.
I recommend FC4 full instalation without Firewall
2.- Use RPM files as possible
When java SDK is downloaded, use the RPM file, execute the bin and then execute the "rpm -Uvh <file>" command.
This will install everythink in the apropiate path
3.- Variables
use in same command instruction "export JAVA_HOME= /usr/java/jj2sdk1.4.2_08. Same with other variables.
4.- Tomcat:
     install it in "/usr/tomcat" path
5.- MySQL
If FC4 is full installed, dond install again MySQL as www.opencsm.org says.
Only use the command to run de BD as says the instalation notes. Básicaly "mysql_install_db --user=mysql"
"mysqld_safe --user=mysql" without any special path.
6.- OpenCms
    Install the last version 6.0.0
Do not use password in "Setup Connection". Select de 4.1x MySQL BBDD
Try to fill de "MAC" address when is requested in "setup wizard-seting". Should be automatically detected. If is not
detected will not appear de login screen. If OpenCms suggest to run again the setup wizard, do it and MAC will be
detected automatically. This will permit to finalize the setup and have access to the login screen.

Hope it help.

Brgds, Davdi
