[opencms-dev] java.sql.SQLException: Communication link failure

Hello all,
 
I'm having randomly a problem whe the jsp pages try to connect with the mysql database.
 
I see this error at the log file
 
com.opencms.core.CmsException: 4 Sql exception. Detailed error: [com.opencms.file.mySql.CmsDbAccess] Communication link failure: java.net.SocketException.
root cause was java.sql.SQLException: Communication link failure: java.net.SocketException.

I'm using opencms 5.0.1 with Tomcat 4.1.30 and MySQL 4.0.23
 
I've tried to increase the timeout at the mysql connection-pool (opencms.properties), but the problem persist randomly
 
Here is the current configuration that I have

pool.mysql.minConn=10
pool.mysql.maxConn=40
pool.mysql.increaseRate=5
pool.mysql.timeout=300
pool.mysql.maxage=360

pool.mysqlonline.maxConn=40
pool.mysqlonline.increaseRate=5
pool.mysqlonline.timeout=300
pool.mysqlonline.maxage=360

pool.mysqlbackup.driver=org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver
pool.mysqlbackup.minConn=5
pool.mysqlbackup.maxConn=40
pool.mysqlbackup.increaseRate=5
pool.mysqlbackup.timeout=300
pool.mysqlbackup.maxage=360

Anyone can help me please?
