[opencms-dev] Inserting images in the WYSIWYG editors - bug or intended functionality?

In the MS editor, when you try and insert an image it
asks for a location on my current hard drive, however,
in the other editor (HTMLArea) it asks for a URL.

After entering the requisite information, these files
are not uploaded and the src attribute reflects the
local hard drive location (or remote location). Is
this the intended functionality? Is the idea here to
be able to point to an image that is not in the image
galleries? (i.e. the image is located on another site)
