[opencms-dev] Multilanguage/Extended Properties already on roadmap?

Hi Sebastian,

You could do the following already with the current system:- 

1) Implement a property naming schema your multilingual site (e.g. Title
would be named Title_de for a german title and so on...)

2) Since you will need to implement template JSPs which pick up the selected
language anyway in order to display your template content in selected
language you would also make these JSPs language sensitive for the
properties (so if the user is browsing the german version the JSPs would
automatically read the property with _de extension).

Hi,

i have a question regarding the future development of OpenCms: Is it 
already planned to extend the properties to support multiple languages? 
Or maybe bind properties to specific resourcetypes? I'm asking because 
currently properties like Title, NavText etc. are only available in one 
language (AFAIK). And it would be nice to have those under language 
control too.
