Hi Joe,

That was my initial suspiscion, but I have not modified these templates in
any way.

I am using OpenCMS version 5.0.

I have redeployed opencms.war and retrieved a fresh copy of the template
from there and reinserted that in place of the old, but still no effect

Thanks
Martin

Seems to me that there is a problem with your template. Something in your
template is trying to parse
/system/modules/scanline/templates/template.xml as an XML file and it must
be corrupt (perhaps by being edited by hand). Make sure that file contains
well formed XML. Click on "Edit Sourcecode" to view/edit the XML.

Which version of OpenCms are you using?

Joe.

This system has had another administrator play with it, but I cannot see any
visible damage that would cause this error. I have had to reinstall Tomcat
4.1 again, but retained all data within the webapps folder.

The template it speaks of is fine. The data within it is: c:\program
files\tomcat 4.1\webapps\opencms\export\system\modules\scanline\templates\

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> <xmltemplate>
        <template>

        </template>

                <template>../jsptemplates/template.jsp</template>
        </elementdef>
</xmltemplate>

Any ideas?

Thanks
Martin
