> BTW: Why is the only available support a mailinglist? I really prefer
newsgroup or forum, where I can decide, what and how often I read and where
I don't have to quote > the whole thread in every mail to avoid, that
everyone has to have every thread in mind or has to read through his mail
archive everytime. I dumped the quote this time, but don't like it at all,
when I refer to something, I said in my first posting (here about other
threads already in mailing list archive).

You can use gmane (a mailinglist to newsgroup gateway) and a very good
reason not to use forums is that forums can only be read online and since
most answering happens in spare minutes (not specifically talking about this
list), it could well be that you don't have an internet connection available
even though you have some time to answer questions.
I for one will not make any effort to answer a question on a forum, unless
it is by accident.
Btw forums and newsgroups will still need quoting and still needs reading
through the archives/complete threads all the time, so it doesn't seem that
different to me.

Mvgr,
Martin
