Hello!

Look at the logs in the admin view. You will find that mysql raises an
exception because the packet size is too big. Adjust the packetsize in
/etc/my.cnf to something like 20MB you should have no problems uploading
even bigger PDFs.

Regards

Felix

Subject: [opencms-dev] PDFs

Greetings All,

I've uploaded PDFs on my site and created links to those PDFs. At
first, I tried uploading a 2Mb PDF and it wouldn't take... no error
message, it just wouldn't show up. So I increased the
max_allowed_packet for MySQL 4.1 and I was able to upload the PDF. But
when I try to view the PDF, the browser just hangs. Sometimes it
timesout after a little while, other times it just keeps spinning it's
wheels.

Is there anything special I need to do to view PDFs from OpenCms. I'm
using Apache2/Tomcat 5.5 on a windows 2003 machine with MySQL 4.1

Thanks,

Kevin
