[opencms-dev] Search howto?

I'm having difficulty implementing search in a new template. I believe
my index generation is working, but the example scripts I copied from
the OpenCms documenation only work when the scripts are executed while
in the root site ("/").

Same goes for the search tool in the Administration view: my search
only returns results when I set the site to "/". Any ideas what I'm
doing wrong?
