[opencms-dev] Module development

Is there any documentation on creating new modules?  In particular, I am
looking to create a module that would give another export option, namely
export content via ftp.  It would have a tie in through the
administration and then the back-end processing to create the files to
be ftp'ed.  I see how to import the module and register it, but I
couldn't find anything about the package structure in regards to
creating the module.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
