Hi Jan,

Probably you can eliminate the preferences button in top_head.jsp under:

/system/workplace/views/

I've done this for project dropdown and direct publish project, see:

HTH,

Kind Regards und Grüße aus Berlin,
Arash

Subject: [opencms-dev] Disable the preferences button for special users

Hi,

what is the best way to disable the user-preferences button of the
backend?

I changed the permissions of /system/workplace/commons/preferences.jsp
that
the group has no access to it but this seems to be a dirty hack.

Is there a better solution for disabling the preferences button?

Best regards
Jan
