Hi, this was my strategy to learn building sites with opencms,
I hope it will help you.
1) install all the official documentation modules (if not already installed during opencms installation)
2) look around the demos
3) when you find an interesting page:
a) look at the page properties to discover his template.
b) all templates are located in /system/modules/MODULE_NAME/templates
c) open it (edit source code) and study it!
Good Work!

I have the book Building Websites with OpenCms but it is not as complet as I expected.
The most interesting thing in the book is an example module for xslt suport.
But, in my opinion, other module examples (news, faqs...) would be more interesting.
P.D.
I was only asking you for a few links to pages with opencms modules tutorials, But I don't know what you are talking about (wiki, Docbook... ?)
