Jon -
The DTD for opencms-resourcetypes.xml says...
<!--
# The <copy-resources> node of a resource type subnode describes
resources that are
# to be copied when a resource of this type is created.<p>
-->
<!ELEMENT copy-resources (copy-resource*)>
<!ELEMENT copy-resource EMPTY>
<!ATTLIST copy-resource source CDATA #REQUIRED target CDATA #IMPLIED
type (new|sibling|preserve) #IMPLIED>
so I would have thought that using a <copy-resource type="sibling" ...>
might do what you're looking for.

Hi guys,
Is there a way to force certain copyresources to be created as siblings?
Either through defining a property on the files, or through the
opencms-modules definitions?
No, I don't think so.
The user gets to chose, whether they copy or link
