[opencms-dev] static export-publish files

Hi all

Is is necessary to enable static export in opencms.properties to
publish project/pages. iam using weblogic and have disabled static export as
it is a pain to make it work in weblogic. everything other than publish
works fine now.

so was just wondering static export is linked to publish
