Hi Harri,
Generally, the answer is YES. You should give more details on your network structure such as:
1. are opencms and WAS in the same intranet and what protocols can WAS use to visit opencms server?
2. does opencms and WAS use the same database server?
3. is content deletion from the WAS servers a real time operation?

Hi
I'm new to OpenCMS but I have long experience with other CMS solutions. I'm looking for information about the OpenCMS content deployment/distribution/delivery capabilities and I tried to search the list archives to no avail.
I'm looking to deploy OpenCMS in a project that requires distribution of content to servers that do not fetch content from the OpenCMS content repository. OpenCMS would act as a back-office system handling the content production, version management, workflow ie. content management part and when the workflow would be finished the content would be distibuted to one or more production servers (WAS serves in this case) either to file system as html/jsp/gif/jpg files or to database if possible.
Can OpenCMS handle this type of scenario?
To further illustrate the scenario:
OpenCMS (Tomcat) / Websphire server
content production -> approval -> publish -> deployment/distribution-> --/
\
\ Websphire server
Also content deletion from the WAS servers is a requirement. I haven't found much about this while reading the documentation. The site export feature in the OpenCMS seems to at least relate to this case, but I'm not sure wether it covers my needs entirely.
Basically what I'm looking for something similar to OpenDeploy capabilities of the Interwoven TeamSite solution, but lighter solution is enough.
