[opencms-dev] last modified date and ftpd

I am uploading a batch of document files to opencms VFS. i want to 
preserve the "ordering" of files in folder.
such ordering is determined by file last modified date.

anyone know how to make ftpd to save file in VFS using the original last 
modified date?

as well, I think of another idea to keep the ordering in VFS. that is 
using the original last modified date and save the getTime() to file's 
navPos property. do u think it is do-able ?
