And note that you don't have to use the upload applet when uploading 'to'
the Workspace - in user preferences, you can uncheck the setting 'use upload
applet', whereupon ordinary browser upload will be used.

Have a look at the sources of the class CmsNewResourceUpload, it handles the
file upload.
