[opencms-dev] accessing properties from editors

Hello,

In the HTML editor there is a button, which will open the property dialog.

In the XML editor there isn't.

Is there some way to configure the XML editor to include such a button ?

Is it always entirely clear which siblings properties are accessed when using this
button ? e.g. If I enter the editor from a sibling with in one locale,
switch language in the editor and then access the properties is it then really
unreasonable for a user to expect to see the properties of the sibling using the
other languages locale ? (you get the properties of the sibling used when entering
the editor)

Perhaps this button is a leftover from the old pre-sibling days ?
If so is it something which is likely to be removed in a future release ?

Personally I think the semantics are a bit fishy so I dont like it
(and we havent even touched interaction with properties mapped to structured
content yet), but there is a lot of user demand for it.
