that's good to know, I was looking for things I could remove to speed up startup on my dev machine. What specs & OS version does your computer have, if you don't mind me asking?

I use OpenCms 6.2.2, Tomcat 6.0.0 and JDK 1.6 beta2 since a few days on
my development system.
So far they run together without any problems.
Maybe the many 6s in the version numbers cause the harmony. :)
Startup is very fast due to the new JDK.
Compared to JDK 1.5 which takes 15-16 seconds to start, OpenCms just
needs 9 seconds to start on JDK 1.6.
However, Tomcat's manager web application seems to be broken. If you
need it you should stick to a stable release.
Best regards,
Christoph
