[opencms-dev] Module with new structured content type

You shall get only an error, try it simply out ;-)
The solution is simply to have a look in opencms-modules.xml, where all
types are registered and get sure that all id's are unique.

Do i only get an error and opencms is running or do i get an error and
opencms is not able to startup?
Do you know a solution for this issue?
Is there something provided by opencms to check all ids at startup and
update a type id at startup ?
thanx a lot
Andy

You'd get an error, and there's no automatic handling for this condition.

Hi
I have another question concerning this.
So if i register a new structurd content with the id say 60, export the
complete module and import it on an unknown opencms system.
So what happens when at the new system this id 60 already exists. Is there a
handling for this provided? or will i get an error at next container startup
when this id already exitsts?

install?
First you have to insert the registration in some existing module
(you can create a new one for it)
Then when you export that module the registration info in
opencms-modules.xml
is exported as part of the module and when you import that module the
registration
info will be added to the opencms-modules.xml file of the new cms instance.
Cheers,
Carl
