[opencms-dev] Hide individual files from search results

Thanks Christoph,
Is it an XML configuration file that I have in the site root. So, I need to
allow read access to it, but hide the visibility. If I take the view
permission out the file appears still in the search results, so I probably
would need to disable the read permission, which I cannot do because the
template rendering is dependant on this configuration file.
Is the category property just masking URLs or how does it work?
Regards,
Olli

A org.opencms.search.CmsSearch can be restricted to certain categories.
Only resources whose "category" property matches one of these values are
returned. There seems to be no way to explicitly exclude a certain category.
As far as I know the search also excludes all matching resources
unaccessable to the current user.
Best regards,
Christoph
