[opencms-dev] Does opencms NOT use md5 for encrypting the users password?

Does opencms NOT use md5 for encrypting the users password?
I am trying to get acegi to login the user, and it seems to be failing
authorization like the password is incorrect. Acegi has an MD5 encrypt class
I am using.
