[opencms-dev] Session loss over HTTPS connection

Hi List,

I am running a Server with opencms 6.21 and since I have switched the
workplace from plain HTTP to an SSL-encrypted connection, I get reports
that some users are losing their login after every 15 minutes or so in
the middle of work.

I myself do not experience such effects and I also know that the
workplace tries to keep the session alive by regularly refreshing some
frames again and again with a small javascript-script. But I wanted to
ask, if anybody knows what could be the reason for this. We had this
problem before and after switching back to unencrypted HTTP, it had
disappeared.

We are all working with Firefox, so I also don't think that it's a
browser issue. One difference is that I am usually working with the
Administrator user, but I also don't think that this would make a difference

Does anybody have a clue why the sessions would be terminated? Or does
alternatively anybody know how I can increase the minimum length of an
inactive session?

Thanks a lot
christian
