[opencms-dev] need help: how improving opencms performance?

Hello,
we are using opencms for a promotional portal but we are experiencing very 
low performance.
We have to wait long time before it load a web page, and profiling the 
webapp we noticed that the more time is taken on unmarshalling operations an 
loding properties and resources.

What we can do for improving performance.
On your experience what tricks did you use to improve performance?
