[opencms-dev] Scaling an Image automatically

Two problems with that approach: Most (all?) browsers use a very
simple sub-sampling algorithm which gives poor results especially if
there is high resolution detail in the image (eg a diagram or an image
with sharp lines).
The second problem is that it does not reduce bandwidth consumption.
I'm still a OpenCms 6.0.x user, but I believe 6.2.x has support for
dynamic image resizing. I haven't seen this in action, and I'm curious
as to how well the resizing works in terms of quality.
