Subject: [opencms-dev] HTML Parsing Bug

Ok,

I'm wondering if somebody would be so kind to test that this is a bug or not, I have the following block of HTML that I am copying out of our current site putting into a page in OpenCms. FCKEditor seems to work fine with this, however as soon as it is saved to the database the HTML is changed and doesn't render properly. Below is the HTML before the save and after the save. I have also tried going through WebDAV through the following steps and still get the same results:

1.) Save the XML file to my local desktop

2.) Update the appropriate section

3.) Copy the XML back to the VFS

4.) View page

So it seems that OpenCms is parsing out and changing the code, I think this could be a serious bug as the HTML I'm putting in is valid.

Original copy:

<p>“Even from the get-go, when the shock wore off, I refused to believe that I was not going to live,” Lisa says confidently. “I was not in denial. I was informed but I knew. Not yet, not now.”</p>

Rendered as:

"Even from the get-go, when the shock wore off, I refused to believe that I was not going to live," Lisa says confidently. "I was not in denial. I was informed but I knew. Not yet, not now."

Copy after save and exit:

<p>“Even from the get-go, when the shock wore off, I refused to believe that I was not going to live,” Lisa says confidently. “I was not in denial. I was informed but I knew. Not yet, not now.”& lt; /p></p>

Rendered as:

"Even from the get-go, when the shock wore off, I refused to believe that I was not going to live," Lisa says confidently. "I was not in denial. I was informed but I knew. Not yet, not now."& lt; /p>
