[opencms-dev] XML Content: Binary Data Type

Hi all,

I'm wondering whether OpenCms provides support for binary data in XML 
content. The thing is, I'm thinking about storing binary data like JPG 
pictures inside a XML document. I am aware of the fact that XML is not 
the ideal carrier for binary data. However, I see clear advantages. Data 
which belong only to one particular XML document could be stored 
coherently at one place. I accept all the circumstances caused by the 
handling of coding and decoding (base64 or whatever mechanism is used) 
of binary data inside XML.

I rather don't suppose that there is a widget for binary data inside 
XML... which could sway me to develop a widget by myself.
