[opencms-dev] FTP plugin?

By the way, has anyone ever tried that FTP plugin?
(http://www.opencms-wiki.org/Ftpd_module)
I didn't know about it. The documentation is pretty scary and explicitly
says "don't use it" :-) That's pretty funny to read, but then is there
any alternative?
I would be very interested, even though WebDAV seems to be a better
option, I have users that don't want to change their habits ;-)
