Hi,
I personally had to just put the opencms.war file directly in webapps/
directory. The file would automatically extract to a new webapps/opencms
folder and work from there.
You then need to connect to
http://<yourhost>:8080/opencms/opencms/system/login/index.html
<http://<yourhost>:8080/opencms/opencms/system/login/index.html>
Hope that helps
Olivier

Subject: [opencms-dev] HELP! Failed to install opencms on my shared
hosting
Hi, is there anyone can give me help?
I am trying to install opencms on my shared hosting, that is
apache 2.0.61 compiled tomcat 5.5.25 and Mysql 5.0.51a.
1. I tried upload opencms.war, but it could not be
self-unpacked.
2. unpacked into /opencms manually, I can access
/opencms/setup/index.jsp, but at Component test step, it warned war file
NOT unpacked, I choose ignored, go on, everything was fine, but after I
have chosen modules to install and next, the page appeared blank with
HTTP 500 error, nothing else. I have checked with my hosting support,
they could not find any errors in logs.
I have tried many times, I still could not go through it.
I checked 'Integrating OpenCms, Tomcat and the Apache webserver
with mod_proxy' in Alkacon Documents. it said:
"
Step 1: Installing OpenCms
... ...In order for this setup to work you must install OpenCms
as the ROOT Tomcat servlet context. Read on to learn how to do so. You
have to delete or rename the Tomcat default web application ROOT/
.......
Delete or rename the Tomcat default web application ROOT/. "
I tried, but I can not even access /setup/index.jsp. does anyone
know how to do with it?
Thanks a lot
