[opencms-dev] URGENT: Recovering Opencms Online-Project with Offline-Project

First of all, you should of course back up your database before doing any more damage - recovery should only be done on a copied DB.

Try to see if the opencms commandline shell is still working and if it knows any of your files. If so, maybe you can re-create your online project with a few commands from there (creating projects is definitely possible, the online project should have number 0). Try to look into the javadoc of the opencms shell class to understand what the shell commands are doing. The shell is just a wrapper that calls java methods.

If not, you probably have to poke around in the database tables. Normally, opencms keeps old versions of files around (unless you have deactivated that). There are not too many tables and their names are quite easy to understand. You may have to understand the data model for that though, so first try to see, if you can revive your online project through the shell in some way.

Earlier copies of your data should be there, but getting it out will probably require some effort.
