Maybe you have a problem, that sometimes, a database connection will 
die, while it is kept in the pool. You can cause opencms to re-validate 
connections before using them when they are taken out of the connection 
pool.

There was a discussion about this a while ago, sadly I don't know the 
title of that thread anymore.

Please try to search the list archives, or maybe somebody else can give 
further information about this.
