We work with Safari 4 sometimes (on PC), OpenCms looks exactly the same like in any other browser. I can't say anything about Chrome, since we are not using it because of it's hilarious privacy policy.

Betreff: [opencms-dev] Safari, Google Chrome

We are fairly new to OpenCMS (and loving every minute of it!) and develop on Macs. We were slightly puzzled as to why the Explorer looks completely different when using webkit-based browsers compared to Firefox/IE. Although Firefox is a superb browser, we find it slows down on the Mac after several hours of OpenCMS work.

To cut to the chase, we have successfully managed to alter the look and feel of OpenCMS 7.5.1 for webkit-based browsers to look like it does on Firefox/IE (screenshot attached). It only involves changing 4 files but if you are a Safari/Google Chrome addict it means you can use your favourite browser for OpenCMS development!

We're not sure how many people are using Mac's (or Google Chrome on PC), so if you are, drop us an email and we can let you know how we did it.

Regards

Matt
