Hi Fabian,

you're right, the shell is started independently - this works even if 
the appserver itself is not running. We then send a couple of commands 
to the shell, or, in this case, just simply run CmsSynchronize. Keep in 
mind that our Ant task only synchronizes from the workspace (we use 
Eclipse) to OpenCms, not the other way. If you need bidirectional 
synchronization: I have no idea about that ;)
