[opencms-dev] Synchronous Publishing

Is there a way to enable or switch to synchronous publishing (like pre
7.x) instead of asynchronous background publishing? E.g. on development
servers, where you have to wait until a publishing task is done, it's
quite annyoing to permanently switch to the queue view, which is also
not very user friendly (e.g. stops in the middle of a refresh when
publishing is done without telling you etc.).
