[opencms-dev] Explorertypes accessentry permissions meanings?

Hi all,

I'm having hard times getting understanding for the explorertypes part of
the module manifest refering to security.
Can anybody give me a primer?

It seems the only thing it controls is who can view the resource types in
the "New" dialog, for which you need associate "+r+w+v+c" to the type and
principal. Also any who is not in the accesscontrol list get excluded,
including Administrator role.

It would be nice if this permissions would reflected the type permissions
for a principal (role, group, or user).

Any light on this before source code dive in?
