Hi Paul,

this should be an easy one. Please have a look at http://opencms-wiki.org/FCKEditor#The_FCKEditor_disappears_in_Firefox.

Regards

Kai

Update: More testing revealed that only Firefox (v. 3.0.19) is missing the text areas. The problem is not present in IE or Chrome.

Using the very same Firefox on a 7.5.2 release version, everything is OK though...

Any pointers?

Best regards,

Paul

	Hi again,

After having provided the _correct_ password in the upgrade wizard **, the upgrade process ran as it should, no errors as far as I could notice.

BUT: now the entire text area for all OpenCmsHtml fields has disappeared!!! It's there for a split second at the moment when the page edit loads, and then it just disappears. I believe it's when the rich text editor takes over that it "hides" everything (or: is unable to render the rich text editor). There's nothing but the background color where the text area should be...

What can cause this / how can I correct this? Please help..! =/

	Best regards,

	Paul

** Eventually I discovered so many errors that I concluded something had to have gone wrong during the upgrade.

I reverted back to the old site again, and started from scratch. Turned out, my Firefox remembered an incorrect password for the Admin account, which led to the complete failure of the upgrade... The reason I did not see this the first time around was that in the end it stated "Update successful" or something like that, so everything looked just fine... -.-

		Hi Kai,

		Thanks for your reply. :-)

I updated /system/workplace/editors/fckeditor/configwidget.js manually, by copying the content from a 7.5.1 installation. It fixed the problem.

In addition, I updated the rest of the files in /system/workplace/editors/fckeditor/, since I noticed more inconsistencies (e.g. editor_configuration.xml was missing Chrome and Safari lines).

After this, I still had the old editor (no syntax highlighting) for editing .jsp files and alike. I noticed that the following folders were missing:

		    /system/workplace/resources/editors/editarea/
		    /system/workplace/editors/editarea/

I had to import the org.opencms.editors.editarea module (exported from my 7.5.1 installation) manually to fix this.

		Best regards,

		Paul

			Hi Paul,

this error occurs, when your configwidget.js file or fckconfig.js is broken.

There was a change in the configuration of the FCKEditor in 7.5.1 (see http://opencms-wiki.org/HtmlWidget#Extending_edit_options_for_HtmlWidget_since_OpenCms_7.5.1 for details). So it could also be, that if you had some custom changes in one of those files, that they are gone now.

You can probably fix this problem by copy/paste the sources of the files (the original ones from \WEB-INF\packages\modules\org.opencms.editors.fckeditor_7.5.2.zip) to the ones in your VFS. Or just reimport the module.

Betreff: [opencms-dev] Urgent: Toolbar set "OpenCmsWidget" doesn't exist

			Hello all,

I just updated a 7.0.5 release system to 7.5.2 using the current release upgrade wizard.

However, everything is not OK. When I try to edit files, I get this error:

			    Toolbar set "OpenCmsWidget" doesn't exist

and I am currently unable to edit any text areas. Needless to say, this is a huge problem..! =/

I'm guessing something related to the HtmlWidget did not get updated...

			The log says:

			java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.opencms.editors.fckeditor.CmsFCKEditorWidget.buildOpenCmsButtonRow(Ljava/lang/StringBuffer;Ljava/lang/String;)Z
			at org.apache.jsp.WEB_002dINF.jsp.offline.system.workplace.editors.fckeditor.configwidget_js_jsp._jspService(configwidget_js_jsp.java:111)

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any solutions? I'm guessing I have to manually update something, but what?

And a couple of PSs to people at Alkacon:

1.) The problem with the missing labels on certain Administration panel features is still present...

2.) There was a problem with the port number being removed from the URL when changing pages in the update steps. Several times I had to re-insert the port number in the URL manually. Doing this, it looked like everything was fine in the end.

			Best regards,
			Paul
