[opencms-dev] how to use two database instances

Dear all,
 
I am having a problem in production server where opencms project is deployed. I am having two database instances if one fails my opencms is not switching to the other one. So I want to mention both database instances in case one is down the other should be used, how to do that it's really urgent ppl!?? :(
