[opencms-dev] Synyx GreetingCard module generates blank image under https

I have the Synyx GreetingCard module installed on a test server (v7.0.5)
running under http and it's working fine.

On a live server that runs with the same configuration except that it runs
under https, the preview images are generated blank (white 800x800px png).

(Preview image = the one after hitting the "Vorschau" / "Preview" button;
also the one that's send via e-mail).

Any idea?
