[opencms-dev] OpenCMS 8 Release: any news?

Ok, here is the update regarding the development of OpenCms 8, it has 
some good and some not so good news:

The good ones:

We made a change in the technology used to build the new ADE user 
interface. The result is a more flexible and much better maintainable 
code base for OpenCms 8 than we had it before. We think that this will 
be an advantage for further development.

The result of this change is that parts of the code we already have made 
has to be rewritten.

This leads to the not so good news:

And as you could imagine this change in the technology will lead to an 
delay of the planned release.
It is now planned for Q1/2011.

Of course we are not happy about this delay, but we think that the 
changes we are currently doing are worth to wait.
