Hi Peter,
I have two questions about excel import:
(1)
Does the ExcelImport also support the import of jpg directly, i.e. if I have
a jpg as embedded object in a cell of the xls file?
(2)
Another question I have about the current jar files in the OpenCms
distributions, which I came across when I was working on another custom
excel importer as well (not related to your module) using Apache POI:
The poi-2.5.1-final-20040804.jar is of 2004, but still ships with OpenCms
v8, while the current version is already poi-3.7-20101029.jar (of 2010).
Looking through the OpenCms code it seems that POI is only used for the
search/doc indexing (at least I think it was for that purpose), but anyway,
not many occurrences.
Are there any plans to update the POI jar in the official OpenCms 8.1
release?
Cheers,
Mathias
