[opencms-dev] Question about sitemaps

Hello,

In my job I'm using the opencms for the company website, and I need to make/use the .xml sitemap of the website.
I already created the sitemap.xml, but I don't know how to use/ implant it. I searched in the wiki and found this 2 pages:
http://85.214.16.70/wiki/Google_Sitemap.xml
http://85.214.16.70/http.www.opencms-wiki.org/index.php/Configuration_of_OpenCms_Sitemap_Properties

I read this pages but i don't understand a couple of things.
First: I just need to add my .xml file to the root? With the name sitemap.xml?
Then I need to go to the .config file, resource types tab and add a new resource type with the type name "sitemap_config? After this, what I need to do?

Sorry for all the questions and grammar errors. English isn't my native language.
