[opencms-dev] Any chance that the OpenCms mailing list will be moved to Google groups?

I found list serve and all these terrible to use from a UI
perspective. Nabble was great until it stopped working properly.

Anyway, a parallel option would be to at least use Google groups as a
remote (read-only) archive. So that decent search and favorization
features are available. When you create a Google group, you can check
"[*] This group is hosted on another mailing list host", this way the
group will only become a remote, read-only archive. This is all
automated and wouldn't harm anybody who prefers the old tools, but
offers some value for those who prefer Google groups.
(Of course, in this mode, it's not possible to reply directly to the
list via Google group UI.)
OpenMRS project does it this way for example:
https://groups.google.com/a/openmrs.org/group/implementers/topics

Still hope enough people opt in for a complete move :)
