[opencms-dev] Problem with external link & file:///

I have a local file at
file:///tmp/news.xml
which I can open in a browser without problem.

When I create an external link in OpenCms though and link it to
file:///tmp/news.xml, I'm getting a 302 temporary moved error
(checking in Firebug).
Browser says "Corrupted Content Error - The page you are trying to
view cannot be shown because an error in the data transmission was
detected.".

Any idea?

file:///-links not working with external links in OpenCms?
